Mt. Etna Erupted!

Last night while I was sitting in class we heard rumors that the volcano was erupting. Of course I had to call Chris and tell him to take pictures.  Unfortunately it was not very viewable from my house.  All he could see was a light glow.  This morning I woke up to a bunch of friends posts saying the volcano really erupted between 2 and 4 am when I was fast asleep.  The pictures I have I stole from a friend.  The only thing I got was a car and carport covered in ash that I need to go wash off.

Craig Krages

Last night we took Braydon to see the illusionist Craig Krages.  Okay it was really me wanting to go!  The show lasted a little over an hour and Braydon sat through almost all of it.  At one point it was quiet in the theater and all you heard was Braydon talking!  Towards the end he was getting restless plus it was past his bedtime so Daddy and son went outside while Mommy got to stay till the end.  We also found out tonight that the comedian Gallagher will be here soon, that should be a blast.

Germany

We just got back from spending a week in Germany.  It was wonderful and I didn't want the vacation to end.  Germany is so beautiful I could spend so much more time there exploring everything, or just spending time in a beer hall.  Braydon didn't really like the snow so that would have to be the only bad experience we had.

Our trip started on Sunday when we flew into Germany and then drove to our hotel which was an 1 hour and a half outside of Munich.  On Monday we took a trip to visit Innsbruck, Austria and see Swaroski Crystal museum.  This museum was really cool and I ended up buying a really pretty ring as a souvenir.

Tuesday we went on a tour into Munich.  We started at the Treasurary building and saw a lot of beautiful jewels.  Afterwards we headed to the Rathaus-Glockenspiel to see the clock strike tweleve and the little show that is put on.  We then went to Hofbrauhaus and had lunch and a few beers.

Wednesday Chris went skiing and I spent the day at the hotel with Braydon at the pool.  When Chris got back our friends took Braydon for the night and we had dinner and spent time in the hot tub.  Thursday Chris and I had nothing really planned except for my hot stone massage (which was wonderful). We tried to take Braydon to play in the snow but he hated the snow.  It was his first time ever seeing snow and he wanted nothing to do with it. That night we returned the favor and watched our friends girls (which really isn't hard to do).

Friday was spent touring the town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen where our hotel was.  This town was host to the 1936 Olympics. It is still known for hosting a ski jump on every January 1st.  To celebrate the new year the hotel put on a concert with several activities for the family to enjoy.  Braydon almost made it to midnight to ring in the new year, but just couldn't hold on.  I only made it to a little past midnight, maybe it was all the wine and the 36 ounce margarita!

Saturday we checked out of the hotel and decided to spend the night in Munich before we traveled back to Italy.  We headed to the Hard Rock Cafe for dinner, mainly because I collect teddy bears from all the Hard Rocks.  Braydon was doing good until this rude couple sat beside us and were giving him dirty looks because he was talking loudly.  We ended up getting our food to go and eating in our hotel room.  We expected to much out of Braydon by having him sit through an appetizer and then expect him to sit through dinner too.

Our trip ended on Sunday when we traveled back to Italy and said goodbye to Germany.  Chris and I have hopes to someday return!
